You, my dear, have done a very good thing in sharing your inclined sleep theory on the world-wide web. It inspired me to seek a good solution to trying your suggestions. Six nights sleeping on the inclined bed at about 4" & it is absolutely amazing. I am sleeping much more soundly & longer each night. Previously, I slept 3-5 hours max, but I am routinely sleeping 7-9 hours. I can't even begin to explain why! Most of the symptoms & pain related to my GERD have gone away; I am still taking the Nexium and will continue it for a few weeks before doing a trial without. I wake up with no aching joints, no stiff neck, and warm feet - for the first time in my 65 years of adult life. In addition, ithe nighttime swelling in my husband's feet and legs has improved dramatically. Again, thank you, thank you for the creative and original thinking.

We were able to install our Sleepcliner™, and we are thrilled. We replaced our king-sized bed with two extra-long singles as you suggested. My husband can sleep with his head properly raised, and I can sleep in the normal position. It's a great solution, and we are much obliged to you for creating such a valuable and well designed product.
Sincerely,

I
have Barretts Esophagus and made the mistake of buying an
adjustable bed with a Tempurpedic mattress. You are exactly right
in your website where you say that adjustable beds bending at the
waist can actually make the condition worse. I also found that if
you sleep on your side, you cannot use the adjustable bed. Trying
to make your body shaped like an "S" is not good. I actually
stopped using the Twin XL side of my bed as an adjustable bed and
put it up on blocks.

The revolutionary new treatment for GERD (gastric esophageal reflux
disease) doesn't come in a pill. You don't need a prescription for
it in fact, you can't even buy it in stores. What's the treatment?
Sleep. Restful, healing sleep. "Doctors have known since antiquity
that a good night's sleep is the best medicine," says Dr. Brad
Bomba, Jr., "but for people who suffer from GERD and many other
ailments, sleep is hard to come by. And without a good night's sleep,
a patient's overall health deteriorates."
For years, doctors have recommended patients elevate the head of
their bed to alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms of GERD, acid
reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, congestive heart failure, emphysema,
hiatal hernia, sleep apnea and snoring. Before the Sleepcliner bed
elevating system, the only alternative was to place blocks under
the head of the bed.
Dr. Bomba, innovator Joyce Claflin Harrell, and a team of engineers
developed the Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system to treat the problem of night-time pain
and suffering from common ailments like GERD. With a single push
of a button, the Sleepcliner elevates the head of the bed without
bending at the waist great for side and stomach sleepers.
No other adjustable bed on the market today does this. With the
Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system you can continue to use your existing mattress, foundation
as well as the head- and foot-boards. If you prefer, you can use
the Sleepcliner as a stand-alone bed.

I have just purchased my second Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system . I have suffered for
years from a Hiatal Hernia. Elevating the head of the bed is the
only long-term solution that I have found. My doctors have recommended
medicine for my condition as well as elevating the head of my bed.
I have found that elevating the head of my bed is 80% of the solution
for me. I have also modified my diet allowing me to eliminate all
medications. I believe if I had elevated the head of my bed years
ago, I never would have developed the serious problems that I had
in recent years. Our second Sleepcliner™ was installed at our Northern
Michigan cottage and is being used not only by my wife and me, but
also by guests that visit during the summer months. Everyone is
thrilled with the beneficial effects of the Sleepcliner™.

My wife and I love our Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system . We installed the Sleepcliner™ for my wife, who suffers from acid reflux disease, but I have found
tremendous relief from Sleep Apnea. I find that I cannot wear my
CPAP the entire night and need to remove it from time-to-time. The
elevation allows me to breath easier without snoring, alleviating
some of the symptoms of Sleep Apnea. We both love the Sleepcliner™.

We were so impressed with the Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system that we bought one for
ourselves and another one for our son, who, although young and in
his 30's, has suffered terribly from acid reflux disease. He has
been thrilled with his Sleepcliner™, finding that he is sleeping
much more soundly and getting the rest that is so important to overall
well being.
My wife and I need the Sleepcliner™ bed elevating system for different chronic health
conditions. We both find tremendous relief from sleeping elevated
and know that our overall health is improved as a result.
We slept with our bed up on blocks for years, but when we moved
to our new home, we hated to go back to unsightly blocks under the
headboard of the bed. We found that the Sleepcliner™ provided the
ease of use with the simple push of a button and the beautiful décor
that is important to us.
